7. Police skills,
competency and eligibility

| Article 53-Eligibility | ||
| 53.1 | Eligibility | |
| Eligibility is the minimum requirements of a person in order to be eligible for recruitment as a police officer. | ||
| The following are considered the minimum eligibility requirements of a police officer: | ||
| Integrity | ||
| (i) That they do not have a current active criminal record; | ||
| Certificates | ||
| (i) That they have completed a high school level diploma; | ||
| Skills | ||
| (i) That they can read and write to a high school level in the official language of Oceanic Union; | ||
| Fitness | ||
| (i) That they are capable of running 800 metres in under two minutes and thirty seconds; | ||
