| |
The Criminal Code of the Oceanic Union shall be responsible for administering the criminal standards, conditions of and operations of the all criminal law, whereas the Prison Code shall be responsible for the administering the code of conduct, functions and operations of all correctional facilities and systems.
| |
The Prison Code depends in part upon the Criminal Code in the fair operation of general criminal standards and penalties as a way of reducing the incidence and risk of anti-social, criminal and adversarial behaviour.
| |
Similarly, the Criminal Code in part depends upon the just operation of the Prison Code in administering the functions and operations of correctional facilities managing individuals remanded into custody and reducing the risk of re-offence.
